Rumored Pink Phone "Turtle" Filed at FCC

Today, Sharp, who manufactured the Sidekick for Danger, filed with the FCC for a "CDMA Slide Phone with WLAN & BT," a device that looks remarkably like the images that Gizmodo acquired of the Turtle, one of the rumored Pink phones. Actual pictures, external and internal, of the phone that were filed with are confidential and will remain so until March 29th.

This almost confirms the rumors of Pink devices, as did the recent discoveries by Long Zheng and our own itsnotabigtruck of Pink Phone references in the updated 4.2 Zune software. Whether this means that Pink Phones will be released at the upcoming Mobile World Congress is unknown. Like I’ve said before, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Sharp has yet to file for the second rumored device, Pure, pictures of which were also leaked by Gizmodo.
