It looks like some major players are gearing up for the month of September 2007. As you all may have heard, Microsoft is prepping to release the newest models of Zune (codenames: DRACO and SCORPIO), and all signs are pointing to another evolution of the iPod by Apple.

Even Sony is stepping up and going to introduce what many are calling an iPod killer. It's called Rolly and is being shrouded in mystery. Sony has a website (which was down this morning) which gives even less details, but it seems to be a DAP with communication technology (not known if it's wi-fi or bluetooth).

That all said, it looks like all the stops are being pulled out for this holiday season and the big guns are gonna slug it out to see who comes out on top...I say look for Zune to start turning even more heads…
