Yes, that’s right. A new version of FairUse4WM, previously
mentioned on this site, can remove the Digital Rights Management (DRM) from the
newest generation of Microsoft-encoded video and music files.
That means that it can remove protection from
ZuneMarketplace music downloads too. And by this I mean physically removing the
DRM from files, not re-encoding as software like Tunebite does. This means the
process is far, far quicker than such software.
Some words of note:

You have to own the license to the music you’re removing
the DRM from. This means if you want to remove the DRM from your Christina
Aguilera album, you have to have the license keys to that album downloaded on your
PC.

FairUse4WM works on all files from the ZuneMarketplace,
but I suggest using it only on music you buy, not the subscription-downloaded
music. A DRM removal tool as significant as this could have huge repercussions
on any music deals Zune makes with companies such as Universal, who supply the
majority of the ZM music. You want Zune to succeed, right?
