Looks like some press disregarded Microsoft's request to halt all press releases until midnight tonight and decided to announce info on the new Zunes early (that's good for us!).
Silicon Alley Insider is announcing on their site details about today's shrouded event unvailing Microsoft's next generation Zunes.
Some details they offer (which isn't much) are:
1. More elegant interface in the new Zunes 2. DRM free music available on Zune Marketplace 3. and....well that's it.
Seattle's KING5 is also reporting more details now...
4. the 80Gb model is slimmer and sports a 3.2 inch screen 5. Wi-fi is expanded to sync music, video, and photos wirelessly directly from the user's computer. 6. The Squircle is officially called the 'Zune pad'
Zunerama is also reporting in:
7. every Zune including the existing 30gb model will offer wireless sync 8. All Zunes will also be able to play back TV content recored using windows vista media center. 9. Zune Social, an on line community site which will be coming in beta this fall. 10. Zune Marketplace redesigned to make it easier for people to find what they want. MP will now offer more than 3 million tracks, thousands of music videos and free audio and video podcasts.
BetaNews adds:
11. For the first time, Zune Marketplace will rival iTunes in a big way, offering over 3 million tracks in mp3 format. 12. Still no word on movie content...:frowns:
