New Softwares to Help Improve Zune Experience!

zunesoftware Are you still having problems with tags and album art being screwed up after updating to the new software? Many already know the Zune team found a way to fix it almost instantly, and passed the info on to us, now they have created an executable file to do the steps for you so you aren't editing any registry files.

It's called the Zune Media Collection Reset Tool, and I have uploaded the file HERE for everyone to download. It is also available on the official Microsoft website, and you can download it directly by clicking HERE .

The second great piece of software is UnZoone for the new Zune software. It is now available for beta testing if you go over to Remove-It.org. You just need to contact them using their contact link and they can hook you up (if they are still looking for testers) with the newest UnZoone tool versions. If you are unfamiliar with the UnZoone tool, it removes all remains of the Zune program. During a normal uninstall, not everything is actually removed. This finishes the job for you!

Funny, i'm geting use to,never liked it that much when it was releases, besides the look, although i miss the functionality of the firts one, i'm sure they are working on putting some of that stuff back in this version, i hope.

...this works great, bring back drag and dropping of album art MS.

I think if we can develop software like this, why couldnt we make customizable software so we dont have to use the darn ZS all the time. [smiley=think]

I just don't see why can't MS just create a simple program that allows you to edit songs on the actual device instead of the stupid collection concept.

So, I had all my files set up correctly and then erased all content on my zune, resync-ed and had everything right.

Then I saw this software fix - downloaded it and promptly lost some of the pictures for my mp3s. So, I have to now add art AGAIN to about 50 albums. This is a fix?

I don't really see any improvement - other than it finally recognized Jack Johnson as something other than "unknown artist."

^Guest User^ that is your fault for not properly tagging your mp3s.the reason you lost the pictures of album arts because you didn't have them as part of the song, they probably were connected through an address. Basically you just need to make sure that you embed the album art.

thank you, thank you, thank you. that unzoone software is EXACTLY what I needed. the zune software never installed properly for me (zune 1) so I could never uninstall it and then try to reinstall in properly. I wasnt able to download the zune 2.0 update so I thought I was totally screwed until you posted this link. now everything is good, everything is fine. the new zune software is running smoother and quicker than ever and I have no complaints so far. thank you again.
