Microsoft Now Charging for Zune Originals

Microsoft is now charging for the engraving of designs on the Zune Originals. The prices as of now is $10 for the Tattoo Series, and $15 for the Artist Series. You can still have custom text engraved for free, but personally I'd much rather dish out $10-$15 for some pretty neat engravings. Microsoft has not made any announcements on the details of the price change. Hopefully, they will be rolling out some new colors soon.

Im not really happy with this, but i guess it was going to come, just a matter of time. I think they will be making it more like colorwarepc.com, thats why colorware hasnt added the new Zunes to their lineup.

Is this a partnership in the making? I must be off to speculate on my own site.

Oh, and I guess $15 isnt too bad seeing as you get a cool engraving and a nice big box and stuff...

$10 - $15 is nothing. Its completely personalized with cool text and the 1337 engraving. If you dont want to spend that extra $10 then your a bit of a tight ass to be honest.
