So for some, the launch was great! Amazing even (there's that adjective again....where's my thesaurus?)! But for others, there's been some heartache, frustration, and probably some curse words....Click for more!
For starters, some are having a heck of a time trying to load the new software and firmware. Error messages, stalls, and failures are not uncommon at a major launch like this. Already I hear MS is on some of the major problems.
A second problem people are noticing is their music library is messed up. Certain songs show with the wrong album art under the wrong artist. Definitely a glitch for MS to patch quickly . I would suggest for everyone out there DO NOT TRY AND MANUALLY FIX THIS. It will probably be fixed soon via an update. As we've already found out, the software is upgradeable many times over so don't go doind anything crazy just yet. Also, what's more curious is the lack of Zune 80s. I personally went to Costco, BestBuy (online sales only apparenlty), Walmart, Target, and CompUSA - ALL had no Zune 80s. The rumors of a shortage seem to be real - probably due to that production issue we heard of a couple months back. Even the ZuneOriginals are not offering any Zune 80s until the beginning of December.....
Also, has anyone noticed there's no more click on the new firmware menu as you select options or scroll through? But if you've had problems, you're in luck. To the possible fear of forum sites like ZuneBoards, Microsoft has set up its own forum for questions, comments, and issues. Click HERE to check that out.
