The Philips N37are one of the items you can win in the Zunecentive program exclusively found here at ZuneBoards. So how do they perform? We've already got some feedback, and with them being already snatched up by post-crazed members, are they worth the $8? Click to read more...
Brand: ZuneOne.net Item Description: Philips N37 In-Ear headphone Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price: $19.00 USD (currently $8.00) Manufacturer's Description: "The Philips N37 is an excellent and high quality set of in ear headphones for your Zune. There is a lot of attention to detail in the design of this set. We feel these are second in sound only to our Creative EP-630. For the price of $8 and free shipping you will have a difficult time finding a nicer set."
Our Take: "These earphones sound GREAT, they feel nice too. They aren't that cheap slippery plastic feeling. They are metal, and they feel nice as well. The cord is like durable rubber, like the zune thing on the bag that came with the 30. But not as flimsy. If you are looking for some great earphones for a really cheap price, these are it. Definately worth 100 post." says CameeonMK. I'd agree. The 'buds are what is called asymmetrical, meaning they don't have the same length cords on each side. This is so the set can be worn over the shoulder with the cord running down your back. This is perfect if you do any jogging or have an armband for your Zune.
The only thing I'd caution about these 'buds is if you have a 2nd generation Zune, you may not get the same experience. The set seems to have a great, rich bass sound (which some may love), but with the absence of an equalizer in the Zune 4/8/80 the sound can be a little muffled. The Zune 30 can easily overcome this issue.
Overview
Pros: - Sound GREAT - Feel Nice - Cheap price - Asymmetrical design
Cons: - May be bassy for 2nd generation Zunes
Rating: 7 out of 10
Do buy if: You great bass response from your Zune 30 for a great price Don't buy if: own a Zune 4, 8, or 80
