Things You will need

-A hardcover book

-A knife or an exacto  (This means attempt at your own risk)

-Some thing that can be used as a brush (or a brush)

-Junk Pile to stack on book

-A mix of elmers glue and water (make sure it is liquidy but not too runny)

-A plastic bag (ziploc works well) that can be put in the book to seperate the pages

Process

1- Take the book and find the page that you want to start carving on and put in the plastic divider(bag). Set the book so that you can coat the outside of the pages that will be carved into. Now glue those pages.

If you have earphones, make sure their black because it's hard to spot in hair (unless your blonde or you actually have white hair, in which I'm jelous). If you have dark hair but white earbuds, it's easy to spot (d'uh, but that's why I feel sorry for iFans the most). Just a little tip that I even use (big reason why I don't cut my hair also). Second, have the headphone trench come out the bottom of the page close to the spine. Also, why not carve a spot horizontal so you can watch movies? It'll look like you're reading the book while instead you're really sticking it some man (I don't know if it's THE man) and not learning whatever may be spouting from the teacher's mouth. Even blasted the music really loud a few times just to mess with the teacher and they never figured out where it cam from.
