Oh and btw baysik:

I had the same problem, so I closed Zune and renamed the file "ZuneStore.SDF" to "ZuneStore.sdf.old" in C

ocuments and Settings(UserName Here)Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftZune
(Some of these folders are hidden, so you must shwo them in Tools> Folder Options> View and click show hidden files and folders)
Then when you open Zune you recompile your collection and it should work now, or at least it did for me.

I still get an error before start up. This is my setup:
WindowsXP Pro SP2
Zune 1.4
I download and install V2 it says installation successful. Restart, then before it even opens the zune program I get an error and it has to close.
Should I unistall the previous version first?
I got this same problem with the v2 I got through the zune update.
Any help will be great.

Well this got me further than anything else.... Well that and stealing xmllite from a buddy since IE in all its seamless awesomeness wont allow me to download it off of microsofts website. I was getting the xmllite error and the software wouldnt even load.

So zune 2 is running now which is a huge deal... however when it tries to update to the most recent version it fails and the only reason i bothered trying that is because the computer wouldnt recognize the zune at all...

Icing on the cake? My zune headphones were stolen the other night so I cant even return this godforsaken S%&$ brick.

Actually thats not fair, I had it running with another machine and I really like my new 80 gig but these software issues are really turning me off. Ive never experienced anything at all even close to this insanely difficult in any computer experience ever. this is awful, somebody please help? [smiley=sad]
