Happy holidays is bs! it's called have a "Merry Christmas" , and when it comes to it "Have a Happy New Year"! (though not everyone celebrates the new year on the 1st!) Thats why all the gift buying started! to celebrate CHRISTMAS!

It's interesting you mention not everyone celebrates New Years, but didn't realize neither does everyone celebrate Christmas. While a considerable populus celebrates Christmas, and gift-giving is a part of it, there are many other holidays celebrated with an equal amount of gift-giving. Just covering all the bases with Happy Holidays - or Feliz Navidad to many of the posters on this topic [smiley=happy]
I actually never knew how to spell "Feliz Navidad," so thanks ACE, and I hope you had a good one. I love this time of year, other than the whole Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays stuff, Merry Christmas just goes out to the Christians, but Happy Holidays goes out to everyone. It's jsut more considerate to say "Happy Holidays," but that's my 2 cents in the matter.
I agree with ACE, but when i hate when people get mad at other over the whole happy holidays, merry Christmas thing. I was at a store and the clerk was a young girl and she said merry Christmas to the costumer in front of me, and he started to give her a lecture about how he doesn't want to hear that and that its wrong, which i thought was over the top, especially embarrassing her when it obviously only slipped out.
