[Update] Welp, looks like Dell sniffed this loop-hole out and the coupon no longer works. The coupon now gets this error: "The following coupons have been entered
but require additional information or do not meet eligibility
requirements. Click "View Details" link(s) for more information." You could enter "self" as a company, so that doesn't seem to be the problem. It's really turned crappy, especially when you view the eligibility requirements and they say the following: "Excludes: Gaming, TV's, Software Licensing,
Power, Batteries, Monitors, dell docking stations, Cameras, Camcorders,
and printer consumables." How's Zune fall under any of those conditions? =/
There's been some confusion about how to get the 10 free songs from the
Zune Pass (which is now being called Zune Pass 2.0 in ZM). Well, here's
what you do: first, find a song (note: some songs may only be available
for purchase - just like in the original Zune Pass - so credits will
not work for these). Right click the song and choose "add to cart" or
"buy". The pop-up window will appear where it will show your credit
count. Hope that helps, and if there's any more questions, be sure to
ask away in the forums HERE...
Hey all, been away for a bit, but not to worry - I've not lost the Zune love - just time thanks to school. But enough 'bout me, we're gonna take a look at the Altec Lansing inMotion iM414 today. Be sure to keep checking back as we've received a bunch of Zune accessories for a good 'ol Christmas-time giveaway! Hit the jump for all the details on this speaker system.
You may've or may not've noticed/cared, but the zB writing contest has been going on for almost two weeks now. So far, we’ve gotten three entries, but zB's parent company, CrowdGather, has come up with a very generous offer that just might raise your eye brow as well as the stakes.
Before, the only prize was satisfaction of a job well done, but now you have some incentive! We now have $150 worth in prizes to give out for the top three contestants! At the moment, there are only three entries, so where's yours? Get to work guys!
Here’s the way this is going to go: The deadline for submissions has been pushed back another two weeks to December 6. The voting period will be from December 7 to December 13. The prize amounts will be as follows:
-1st Place: $75 -2nd Place: $45 -3rd Place: $30
With that said, there’s no excuse not to give this a shot. Not only can you have the appreciation of your fellow Zuners, but a little bit of extra cash in your wallet to boot! All submissions can be sent to me, Locke, through a Personal Message (PM) in the forums.
The official rules and submissions guidelines can be found here. Good luck!
Starting tonight around 11pm Pacific Time which is about one hour from now your Zune passes will essentially have the price dropped because you will be able to keep 10 of the songs you download each month. Basically if you paid $1 for each of those songs, you've spent $10 of the $15 you pay for the pass meaning it comes out to $5 per month. It will be interesting to see how many more people will pick-up a Zune Pass because of this new addition. Cesar also mentioned in his post that about 90% of the 4+ million tracks on Marketplace now are available as DRM free mp3's.
Attention all Zuners!! Microsoft just released a new firmware and
software update which brings us to Zune Ver 3.1. With this new update,
Microsoft has given us 3 new games and updated Texas Hold 'em which we already had.
The new games to check out are Checkers, Space Battle, and Sudoku. The Checkers game
also includes multiplayer so you can play with another zuner, the same is true with Texas Hold 'em.
Unfortunately we're still stuck with
the now playing list instead of the quicklist now.
Chances are this update will fix the freezing
problems which some Zune owners reported with the 3.0 upgrade, but we won't know till later if
this stops the freezing. There's also a new feature in the software called "like minded listeners,” which will let you see how compatible your music tastes are with other listeners and friends.
Where and how can you download this firmware and software update you
ask? Same way you did when you had to upgrade from 2.5 to 3.
Settings > General > Check for updates.
And for all of you that were plagued by problems with the 3.0 update,
let us know if this update has brought you new hope and fixed those
problems!

November 14th, 2006, the first generation Zunes were released. It's
been an amazing experience since then, and I can tell you that Zunes
have come a long, long way. As promised, Microsoft did not ditch us
Zuners, and have continued to roll out firmware updates, free of
charge.
There's been a lot of criticism on the Zune over the past two years,
but recently I couldn't help but notice that the Zune has been gaining
reputation and love.
Well, head on over to Pizzahut.com and get a pizza!

"The same customers who order online from pizzahut.com

Hmm, all this talking of pizza is making me hungry. I'm
definitely heading over to pizzahut.com and ordering some Tuscani
pasta. Who knows, I may get some Static-X and Drowning Pool to put on
my Zune.

You may or may not have ever had a Zune Pass, but one thing is for sure, you may want to take a second glance. The Zune Pass has never given you the options it has now. You know about the unlimited downloads, but now with the newly added features in the Zune Software and device like Channels, Buy from FM, Picks, and MixView there’s even more reason to consider shelling out $15 per month. Why? Well…more after the click…

So, the economy is curling up into the fetal position right about now, but that doesn't stop Agent 18 from laying down some love for Zune owners! Agent18 has kicked down some exclusive deals for you the ZuneBoards blog reader from now until December 1st. So if you're in the market for a new Zune case (any size) Agent 18 is hooking you up... All the details after the break!
For those who may have not noticed, ZuneBoards recently went through a server move, and there are still a few kinks that the folks over at CrowdGather are trying to fix. Hopefully, the comments downtime will be short, but in the meantime, feel free to have discussions at the forums.
