In an effort to see how Zune and Windows Mobile could see better integration, the Windows Mobile Team has posted up on its blog posing this very question.  How would you make these two platforms work better together?  Hit them up, or simply say your peice here!  More after the bump...

Here's what they ask:

What are some ways the Zune player and a Windows Mobile device can work better together? I'm not referring to an imaginary "Zune phone", and I'm certainly not hinting or speculating about a converged device.

Instead, I'm wondering if there are any opportunities for us to improve the experience for people who use both devices (a Zune and a Windows Mobile phone). For example, viewing your Zune Social network in IEMobile, converting a Zune playlist into .WMA ringtones, converting Zune's artwork to Windows Mobile themes, showing your Windows Mobile contacts as pictures in Zune etc.

If you can think of similar interesting or compelling scenarios, we'd love to hear them.

THings like- A Song on zune device can transfer to phone and be used as a song/Tone. Or maybe even taking a music/picture or even a video file from the phone and transfer it to the Zune device. arcticmaniac   | 68.77.93.xxx | 2008-02-19 18:15:29 how about fixing the zune software first so that it does not mess up the album names with the artist! the old zune 1.0 software was easier to use than the new version. unless you plan on carrying both devices, there is really not much you would want to do maybe allow you to sync your zune and wirelessly transfer some of the songs to WM so you can take your tunes on the go (but you would need to upgrade the zune firmware so that its easy to select the songs to sync) and vice versa. what MS should do is make a zune phone period..with the same sync cable so that it can still use the same accessories we all have now. i would buy one if its less than $200. dsharp75 - Convergence?   | 198.173.15.xxx | 2008-02-20 06:26:13 It sounds like a sync issue and merely a naming/scheme issue for mobile themes vs zune artwork - it's really just an image so a wireless sync with a wrapper or header for the imports should enable easy transfers. Shooting a playlist to my mobile device would be cool as well as creating OTF ringtones from my zune media. I think the gui should find some middle ground to further emphasize cooperation. Syncing actual media would be great, but mobile devices already suffer from battery issues. Got to think of more... Reply | Quote 0   0

But, if I did, I probably would enjoy setting a zune playlist as ringtones, sending songs, pictures, videos, everything. Pretty much just imagine that the phone is just another zune, So you can see it under the social. Then add more features like having the OLD zune software on the phone? That would be cool. Of course it would be watered down, but you could still do it. Oh, and of course incorporate the zune logo on the windowsmobile phone as well. And both should be able to have internet acess to see a big list of your music at home, and connect to the 360 wirelessly. Meh, just some ideas. Also, fix the new software...
