 HELL YES BELIEVE IT!

WALMART HAS ZUNE 80 FOR $138.54.  Price mistake or not, they have to honor the sale!

The whole day it was out and in stock!  It was in stock around 6PM EST and I got a hold of one.  Keep your eye on it!!

This is not refurbished, used, or any thing like that.  It is 100% new.

Once it comes back in stock, buy it ASAP! I can guarentee that it will be GONE in less than 2 minutes.

So it's gone online but you can still get this deal!  Go to any major electronic store such as Best Buy or Circuit City and ask for a price match.  Print out and show them the webpage which is attached to the first post in this thread.  If you're lucky enough you may be walking out with the cheapest Zune 80 ever.

Here is a tutorial made by our very own Dizzy on how to get the Zune 80 for $140.

Guys I am not saying that this will work 100% but there is no loss for trying.  Please don't misinterpret this and hate Zuneboards if you don't get the price match.

Happy Hunting

~Jon

I was actually going to write the same thing but instead go to Best Buy. I actually had a similiar deal like this when I bought my Zune 30

SSSSSSSSS!!!
Duane   | 98.165.180.xxx | 2008-04-10 23:46:35
I went to my local walmart since it said they were in stock and the ass. manager refused to honor the price and even talked to the manager over him and they refused to do it claiming it was an online promotion and the difference was over one hundred dollars.

Maybe someone else will have luck but I did not. Knew it was a bad sign when they referred to it as a Zune Ipod. WTF!

I was checking out the deal online (out of stock at the time) and I saw a link on the website about pricing. Basically, you will NOT get the online price in the store if it is lower, or vice-versa.

Wal-mart just sucks ass, pure and simple.

Just a hint:
Best buy doesnt honor online prices. I got into a fight with them over it.
Circuit city checked the website after I brought the print out, they didnt want to honor the price because it was so different. I had purchased my zune 80 the night before, so I went in the next morning with a wal mart print out. Luckily, since the web site still said 138$ they refunded 118.00 to my debit card. So I did only pay 140 for my zune 80. and I sold my Zune 30 for 100$. Yes.
TraJiK   | 205.250.50.xxx | 2008-04-11 19:20:36
For the record.

I have printed copies of both Best Buy and Future Shop (Canada)'s price match policies, they are quite sticky when it comes to the deals that save you more than just a few bucks. Also, the item MUST be available from the said source (in this case walmart online, at the time of price match. So unless you can find the Zune in stock at a walmart store, only then can the price match be honoured. But try anyways, it couldn't hurt!
Lvivske   | 99.229.100.xxx | 2008-04-11 21:35:41
no store will price match a freakin' print out. they will take you to a PC (many in bestbuy for employees) and punch in the URL to check. jesus christ dont get peoples hopes up ZB Team...lol
ya dig - ee   | 76.106.113.xxx | 2008-04-11 22:16:31
Like I said in my above post, I did take my print out to Circuit City, and I did get a refund for $118 dollars, meaning I paid 140 for my 80GB Zune. And yes its because I took the print out, but just please remember that most stores are going to check the URL on the paper, like Circuit City did. I just happened to be one of the lucky ones who did it early in the day, and Circuit City matched the Wal Mart price. So yes, it is possible, but obviously it will be hard. But best buy does not really honor online prices, like I said I got into an argument with them over another item a while back.
TraJiK   | 205.250.50.xxx | 2008-04-11 22:43:19
In most cases, where products are only within a $1-$15 price difference, all that is needed for the price match is visual proof of the SKU of the product on a website, ad, or printout. We used a (dare I say it around here) Ipod Touch to provide proof, and the SKU number for my HDDVDs, as bestbuy had a large sale, with little or no stock, and futureshop did. However, like I said in my above post, anything over $20+, the cashier is required to have the site/original flyer available, AND must have stock at at least one of the retail outlets in the country for it to be honoured. They have it in their policy, so no use arguing or challenging it. Good luck to all who try!
Lvivske   | 99.229.100.xxx | 2008-04-12 20:47:00
also, the SKUs change depending on the store to avoid price matching.

for example, the iPod touch SKU could be IPT447 at bestbuy and the futureshop SKU could be IPT447B and they wouldn't be required to honor it

they do that a lot with TVs
Anonymous   | 205.250.50.xxx | 2008-04-13 19:23:56
yep, you're right, anything to keep their profit from decreasing i guess. It's sad, considering those two companies specifically, best buy and futureshop, are somewhat partnered, and yet they can't even honour eachother's prices. If a customer is going to go out of their way to hunt for the best deal at one store, and then go one step further to shop at their DESIRED electronics shop, just to give them their business, the price match should almost always be honoured. Too bad that's not the case.

that price is pretty much what they go for. several sites over the last year since the 80s came out sell it in the 95 range, ebay same deal pretty much.

better off getting the better model, the 30s are old technology

well most stores will honor it as long as its a store that operates within the same state

thing is, they check, and its a defunct link now because it was an obvious typo. if anyone wants to try to scam bestbuy by all means go ahead but its doubtful anyone will honor a fake price

congrats on getting CC to hand over the money though, lol
Tom - It worked for me!   | 65.29.169.xxx | 2008-04-14 09:43:20
I printed the PDF and went to CC, they almost did it, but then went and looked at Walmart's website, so they wouldn't honor it. I took it to Best Buy across the street, and they were leery about it, but they gave it to me! WOO!
Anonymous   | 68.217.170.xxx | 2008-04-14 12:20:18
It worked!! it worked!!! Thank you so much. I went to Best Buy, no questions asked, but they asked if they could keep the ad.
TraJiK   | 205.250.50.xxx | 2008-04-14 14:46:45
Now... To photoshop a walmart plasma tv ad, hmmm.. change it to... 35 bucks! and off to best buy, hahaha.
Andy   | 67.53.81.xxx | 2008-04-14 20:56:43

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE WONDERFUL TIP!

Anonymous   | 208.120.70.xxx | 2008-04-17 17:50:22
is this still going on?
Anonymous   | 62.31.127.xxx | 2008-04-26 09:38:51
Either way, it is still just theft - you may as well just walk in the store and take it . . . stealing and fraud remain the same - and if you have nay conscience, you'll remember you stole the thing or half of it . . every time you use it!

If you feel guilty, and can't come clean at Best Buy, then donate the difference(that you STOLE) to a charity!

Anyway, I am disgusted that an open forum so eagerly promotes fraud . .
Jon   | Editor | 2008-05-01 16:44:58
This is not fraud nor theft, Walmart made a price mistake and Best Buy or any other major retailer with the Price Match Policy allows this. There is nothing wrong with this, it's not like it was photoshopped.
