Jon here guys :)

Circuit City has the Skullcandy Ink'd Smokin' Buds Earbud for $7.99!!! Out of stock online but you can still pick them up instore, order as fast as you can. These tend to run out of stock fast! This deal is as slick as the Zune Premium earphones for $10. You won't find a cheaper price anywhere else.

Features

  • In-ear style: Soft-fitted sleeves fill your ear to help block out unwanted background noise.
  • 11mm driver: The headphones are small enough to fit comfortably in your ear, but still pack a punch.
  • Frequency response: Going all the way down to 20Hz, these headphones can play the full spectrum of sound from high notes to low tones.
  • Cable length: 1.3 meters.

I just listened to them on my Zune and have concluded this:

1. The are some pretty cool looking earbuds, the anodized red is a nice touch.
2. They are very comfortable once you get them in your ears
3. They can be a little tricky to get seated in your ear since they're so little
4. The bass response is respectable, nothing to brag about but fulfilling
5. The mids/highs leave much to be desired
6. After dealing with the Zune Premium earbuds, the rubbery coating on the Skullcandy's cord feels very cheap and looks the same.

I listened to a few of my go to songs when testing SQ:

52nd Street - Tell me how it feels
Tom Tom Club - Genius of love
The S.O.S. Band - No one's gonna love you
Keak da Sneak - Airplanes, trains and automobiles
The Eagles - Hotel California

On each and every song it was the same, lovely bass response, a very hollow and almost tinny sounding high end with a slightly muddy midrange. Overall, the Zune premiums are far better to listen to but the bass response is lacking, especially when compared to the Skullcandy's.

If it were me, I'd be taking these earbuds back to the store cause with exception of the bass, they sound like garbage. I would not recommend these buds to anyone but bassheads.
