Not that it would affect me either way, but do the staff (mods/super mods/admins) get any benefits over regular users? Like, do they get rewards at a reduced rate or a share of the websites profit? The do enough work to get some sort of benefits...

I'm just asking because it seems that they are being penalized for being helpful by only allowing them to get 1 item with zunecentive...

|Sure we get advantages. We can't get the zune 80. That's an advantage. It's protecting us.|

I'd prefer it if staff were not eligible.

Heh, no such luck. I'll try to be happy for the general masses... maybe donate some of my dollars in exchange for an underhanded deal

Well seeing as how we can only get one item. And I bought the headphones. I'll be donating when I get a large some of points. Maybe I'll hold a contest everytime I do.

If you guys are that desperate for a Zune 80, go get a part-time job. If you are really really really desperate, go ahead and retire. Just shows how low you are...

woah, where'd that come from?

But yeah, if the staff were in it for the perks, good riddance, you know?

I think the staff deserves some stuff, they're plenty dedicated, but I don't manage the books.

The point of ZuneCentive is to get users more active, and reward people for being active on the site. Staff have already shown that they're active (If not, they're removed), and now the cost of being trusted and being recognized as helpful, is that you can't get an item that you could buy faster if you got a job... I work 2 nights a week and it'd take me 3 weeks to buy a Zune 80, with $30 left over.

We're here to help the forum that we love. Not to make money by exploiting our status here. Look at the top 10 posters... notice who they all are/were?

That's what I don't understand! Why? Even if they don't get "perks" why are you making them any less eligible than anyone else? It just blows my mind.

On one hand your saying they are needed and helpful, but on the other hand you are penalizing them. It just doesn't make sense to me at all.

It's like saying to a volunteer at a soup kitchen "Thanks for all of the help man, but we don't think you should get any community service hours for this."

Get what I mean?

No, it's more like "Thanks for all of the help man, but unfortunately there's not enough to feed the volunteers. There's more starving men out there."

I understand Pity but to be honest I am over it already. Sure maybe a skin for our zunes once a year would be nice. But I don't believe it's necessary to keep us here.

Pity, it is sort of like regular contests at stores, employees can't enter. Only LPX is being nice and letting us get 1 thing.

Was this directed at me? For the record, I've got no intension of getting ANYTHING off the ZuneCentive program. A pair of headphones maybe, tops.

Believe me, I'd go to MS about getting a free zune way before zB. I figure they owe me

Sorry if you thought I was only in it for the free stuff. That's not the case (no pun intended)
