You definitely beat my story.. that's intensely amazing... 20ft directly onto concrete. that is amazing, was it playing anything when that happened? was it the 30GB zune or another model?

that's because, if I may assume, you have an 8GB zune, we're talking about the original first gen 30GB zunes .... if you have managed to kill / damage your 30GB zune, then do tell. I'm sorry that happenned regardless of what model zune you have, though it has been noted that the 2nd gen zunes are less sturdy.

Zune's are indestructible, but that's assuming you get a working one. The people I know from school, and some online just have trouble getting zunes that actually work.. destructibility isn't a problem.

that link was posted on the ShoutBox, and was shown with deliberate and obvious damage to a zune. the fact is, its not that the zune is impervious to destruction entirely, nothing is like that, not even a tank, but resistant? the zune is one of the most indestructable media players in the entire market. granted sometimes zunes are finicky, but if you get them working the way you want them to, they'll hardly ever let you down.

I wish the zunes were that tough. My zune 80 was in my pocket and that alone cracked the glass over the screen. M$ does not cover or replace damage to the glass which pissed the hell out of me.

This article was made about the 30's. Why should MS cover something that was not their fault?(Do not respond here, respond in the flame board.)

Default Unsinkable Zune-80?

Okay, I know, I have a 30GB myself, but I had one of the kids on my bus prove the 80GB to be Pretty darn water resistant/proof. He's a member of the crew (rowing) team, and had his in his pocket while they were taking the shell out of the water.. When he stooped down, the Zune popped out of his pocket, and landed in the pond a good 2-feet down .. He snapped it back up, shook it, and it powered up. WHEW! Didn't appear to be any water inside..

Me? 1st day, It became a mad scramble to get inside.. I hooked-up my 30GB to get it registered, updated, etc.. As soon as it installed the new firmware, it reset, and right in the middle of rebooting, CRASHED. Dead stop in the middle of the start-up.. locked solid, and I mean SOLID! couldn't power-down, all the key combinations didn't work.. just stopped cold.. I managed to find how to open the case, unplug the battery, reconnect it, and power it back up.. WHEW Again!
