Why did you choose the Zune over the iPod?

As well the lovely little fm player which I would have loved to have had two weeks earlier when the power shut off and I was running around the house looking for a battery radio. So yeah it'll be great in case something happens than I'll actually be able to hear if there's a tornado warning or anything. Plus I don't like being constrained to my stuff I like to hear some new stuff on the radio too.

I hate the ipod touch wheel thingy plus the Zune has so many more features and overall is just a better value and it didnt hurt that it would play well with my Xbox 360

I got a zune because i've never been a fan of apple. when i saw the zune i liked the looks and the features. It didnt get fingerprints which i liked the most i dont like the smudged look. I loved the album art idea because i dont have to read what album its in i know the album by the album art. i liked the idea of personalizing the screen like a desktop, and i like the idea of naming the zune as well making it even more unique to the owner. The zune card and zune profile so you can connect with people of similar music interests or friends or family. The whole idea of the zune was pretty appealing to me, and you cant beat the value, there are more features for a lesser price. There are many more reasons i could go on forever but im tired now...lol jk

I am making a switch from the I pod to the Zune which I hope will be worth the switch. I am selling my I pod which will give me enough to buy a zune 8gb.

Everyone I know has an Ipod and I got tired of my old ipod and said why not make a switch. So soon I will be getting one

I had a 512mb Samsung for 5 years and I wanted something that was able to hold more than 60 songs. I was on the line between getting an 80G iPod Video (or whatever the hell they're called now) and an 80G Zune, until my friend showed me his Zune and let me play with it. I had used an iPod Video before and it had a pretty dull interface and my thumb is larger than the scroll wheel so it was hard to select things, and the Zune was much more accessable.

My zen broke after few years of using it so i decided to do some research and found that the zune 80gb was the best deal. I have to make a few trips to different stores and only walmart have them. Beside, i hate listening to people that complained about their ipods but still try to convince me to buy one. I also like to have a different player than everyone else.

I hate the wheel. Zune has nice big screen. I don't like Apple. Zune comes in pretty colours. On the new metal iPods when you scroll the wheel it feels like it will slice your finger when you scrape the edge.

I decided to pick up the zune, because I heard of the unreliabillity of the iPod. Also, at the time the Zune was less expensive. I had bought a lot of music from napster which i put on my last mp3 player, Creative Zen MicroPhoto. I didn't want to pop out $80 on TOP of the more expensive iPod, just so I could get my music on my new player. So that's my story

Because I had an iPod, it was junk. If you put it to your hand fast, it beeps. It also deleted all my songs on me. :P

Also.. Zunes are different. Better, and awesome. lol 8)

My 30 GB iPod got stolen. Instead of buying a new one, I wanted to try something different. Since I love Microsoft (shh... do not tell anyone!), I figured I would give the Zune a try. It was much cheaper and I had attended an XNA Game Camp where they said that games would be coming to the Zune. It is the best choice I have made technology-wise. Now I make games for it and improve my programming capabilities.

I bought my First Gen 30 G White cause I hate apple and it can go **** off in the corner and kill itself. Another reason is that i picked it up off of my friend's little brother used for $90. The screen was scratched a bit and the battery isn't the best it could be but i love it, especially with the new games feature. Once i read about the Zune games I immediately did some searching and figured out how to put them on. Now i have about 20 games on it and you can find me playing them all the time. I'll never go any other way than Microsoft.

i got my zune on November 14th, the day after it came out
(i went down to the states, and didnt have time on the 13th)
a black zune 80
the only other mp3 i had was a m:robe 500i made by olympus, which was an excellent player, but i smashed the screen with a textbook by accident.
I chose a zune because i hate everything apple, and i refused to get an ipod. i looked at the zune, and made my desicion very quickly.

Sadly, on december of the next year, my zune was lost
and now i got a zune 80 at the beginning of the month
and that's my story

A chain of good events. First my sister didn't want her's anymore [because she doesn't like too much tech not because she likes ipods or anything]. And then my younger sis just got an ipod shuffle and i had to deal with iTunes. I was fortunate to be introduced to zune and itunes at the exact same time and zune just seemed so much easier so i stuck with it and have never wanted to get an ipod classic

I bought my zune cause i hate apple i think they are the gayest thing ever i mean look how girly they look the zune look alot more manly and for 30 gigs at 200 bucks you cant argue with that it also plays videos another plus so all together cheap its plays video and the ipod looks like a douche

another thing i love how everyone that sees my zune ask what kind of ipod it is really funny to me i just laugh and explain it to them ipod is gay and doubles as a douche

The main reason was to be different than all the idiots who had ipods. Also, my sister had had an ipod that broke three times, and another that broke out of the box, and an apple store wouldn't accept a return
