I started off with a 4gb iPod mini 1st gen. I saw on the news a preview of the zune and how it was "all wireless" (which was a slight letdown when it turned out not to be completely true) and from that moment, I fell in love with it. I am actually surprised because in my area the Zune when from being relatively unknown to many people using it.
wi-fi was the biggest reason plus i most definitley wanted to be different. and i have at least one person a day come up to me and ask questions about the zune. i actually had an ipod owner ask me about the zune and after i was done he asked if he could buy mine>
While I was in Seattle, I was actually planning to buy a Creative Labs Zen 8GB Audio/Video MP3 Player
(http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...21&catid=22815) and when I found out they were sold out, I went looking for others. When I saw the Zune, I wanted it right away, so I paid for it on Nov.13 2007 and loved it ever since
I got my zune for free from a contest. Not so much choice. But it's pretty cool. Although I'd probably have an ipod now if I hadn't gotten that zune, but I don't plan to sell it.
I always look at the ipod differently ever since i first saw it, i was like ohh cooll, then the next thing you know everyone has one and i am not down with fads i hate fads and the ipod is just a fad if you walk up to some one and you have your zune in your pocket they say can i see your ipod and im look get out my face!..., not really but thats how i feel and zune is unique there is nothing like it and the design is sexy even when i had the 30gb i thought it was sexy even though it was getting trash talked like almost everyday i stuck with it and we kicked some A**

Well first off, my Zune is my first mp3 player of any kind...
I was kind of biased against the iPod because I was sick of the letter "i" in front of every friggin' word, I see them as mainly a status symbol (whether it's right or not), and I just wanted something different. So, I did some research on the net, checked out all of the mp3 players at the local stores and was drawn to the Zune... Plus they had been showing a lot of commercials for the new models so in this case the ads really did spark my interest! The features of the 4GB seemed to match what I wanted perfectly. And the fact that it was PINK pretty much sealed the deal. I love it so much, it's perfect for me & easy to use- I'll never own anything but a Zune!
I choose the zune over the ipod because the zune is something new and different has better features then the ipod and nobody in my school had one at the time i got mine so i was different.
i got a 128 mb crappy cody mpg player and it ran on a aaa battery wasnt enough got a 1gb zen that ran on a aaa wasnt enough got a 2 gb somethin or other the screen crapped out got a sansa connect battery scerwed up got my money back bough a zune
after goin through 400 dollars im finally happy word to the wise get zune no ipud i hate em always screw up and i want to be offbeat so i got a zune
I can't say I necessarily "wanted" the Zune in particular but I know I wanted a MP3 Player for Christmas of '07. I was originally going to get the Sansa E250 4GB because it looked so cool! On Christmas day, my mom and sister surprised me with a Zune30. When I got it I was so happy plus seeing that my cousin had one I was kinda anit-Zune for his but when I got mine I loved it. I added 700+ songs in the next 2 weeks, added movies, pictures.
I did mention the Zune to my mom but now I have it I like it because not everyone has it, it's only 1 person I know that has a Zune Mini and one other person that I know that has a Zune80 out of my whole school with 700+ people! I have had my doubts about trading it in but after thinking hard about it compared to a iPod I want to stick with it, though it's kinda bulgy I love the screen size advantage over the iPod and with the 2.5 Firmware Update it's catching iPod. Well I still love her no matter what!
I Love My Zune 30. In Just A couple of weaks, I Almost Filled It Up. I Have over 2707 songs, 434 pictures. and 515 videos. I Would DIE WITHOUT MY ZUNE. LOL I LOVE MICROSOFT. FUDGE THE IPOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ipod owners don't even know their device sucks!
