Why did you choose the Zune over the iPod?

What i got my zune for is the big screen. I had been looking for a substitute for the ipod... the new ones now are actually fairly nice... good quality... but they are too expensive for what they do... all they do is play music. i needed more. i needed the wifi... i needed the radio... the huge screen is a major bonus. i prefer the twist interface over the ipod one... I had a SEVERE need for the extra space... 8 gigs just doesn't cut it. the double shot is pretty much godlike... i now have all of my friends with zunes... the sharing feature is very nice if i want them to get a certain track, and i want them to have it but don't want to give them my headbuds or zune... yeah. Apple rules... but the only area M$ beats them is the zune... go leopard.

I had an iPod mini. Dropped it and it completely quit working. Gave me the whole sad iPod icon. Decided that it was time for a bigger player.

Went to Wal-Mart looked into getting a Video iPod. Found that the Zune was $20 cheaper and had a built in FM radio. The Bigger screen was a big plus too.

I had a 1Gb Zen thingy that was to hold me off until I could afford A Zune, I always wanted a Zune for the big screen, and because I didn't want to be cliche.

It all started out with a trip to Costco and looking at the Ipod video 30 gb. I thought it would be nice to be able to finally listen to my music when I want. I tried it for two days and took it back. I just didn't like the interface.

Then I a buddy of mine gave me a brown Zune he had bought for his son that didn't use it. I was hooked. I now have a black one I wooted and a altec lansing m604 for the office, a car cradle kit in the denali and a fm modulator in the audi. I have scrapped itunzes and use the market place exclusively. the zune is the answer I was looking for.

for me, picked the zune because first of all i hated all things apple, and I've always been one of those different kids, like im in drama and all that, and i wanted to have a mp3 player that was just as cool as me. Also it looked kick-ass

When I did it, I didn't know what was better. iPod or Zune. I heard about both but still didn't know. So when I chose, it was pure luck I chose the Zune. Good choice too.

My mom bought it for me... so hehehe
I probably would have chosen the Zune anyways for the larger screen... plus I know a lot of folks with Ipods and they replace them so much cause they keep crashing or something...

i was close to getting an ipod until my college roommate had a zune I was so impressed by it...it was something new and fresh. the video looked better and pictures and album art I just had to buy a zune.

The top reason would be for the larger screen. I love watching movies on the go and that was a big bonus for me. Other than that, I wouldn't really care between the zune and the ipod since the zune social isn't availible here in Canada and no one else I know has a zune.

Something different, good price, larger screen, and the fact that MS released firmware updating 30gb drives to the same ish as the 80gb means they actually care about past generation devices, unlike every other company.

i hate Apple and everyone has got an ipod, im not a MS fanboy,
i saw the Zune a long time ago, but thought it was to expensive so i got a cheap thing, it was rubbish. In the mean time my brother got an ipod, and i realised that it was a good idea to get a branded player, so later i bought my Zune and think its the best

I already had an iPod, although I jumped on that bandwagon hella late. My Nano died on me a few days ago so I was in the market again and since the Zune 2 had just come out recently it was the top one on my short list. I think it was mainly the screen size and clarity that swayed me, but I definitely like being able to change the background and just the overall look of the thing, it's very sexy.

Plus I wanted to be different than everybody else as well as get in on something relatively early in the game.

The zune seemed like the ideal music player. Yes it may be bulkier and more plasticy than the ipod, but no one had it. And having something not may people have makes having that item that much sweeter.

I choose the zuen rather than an ipod, becuase i got it for free. I got the zune off clublive even though i cheated and got the tickets using a program that got me them in less than a minute. So that is a good enough of a reason for me.
