Why did you choose the Zune over the iPod? - Page 10

I wouldn't say I'm a Microsoft fanboy, but pretty much all of their products they are at least associated with and produce I seem to like. The zune has the look I like and does what I like as well.

I also got it due to the fact that my town is mostly about IPODs and I thought all the new designs of the ipods this season were ugly as ****. Except for the Itouch of course, but i wasn't going to spend that much money on an MP3 player (even if it does much more).

i had an ipod video...and it sucked at times. so i gave it to my little bro and got a zune. best decision i've ever made lol

Hey! i have a few questions about my zune, and i thought that you might be able to help me. i dont know how this site works, so yahh. lol
umm..i got a zune 30g for xmas and i have gone to my friends house to put all of my songs on it. i did this because when i plug my zune into my computer nothing happens, all it does is start charging. i have dowloaded like 3 different microsoft software to upgrade it, but it still isnt doing anything differently.
so i would highly appreciate it if you direct me to a site that has all of my answers, or lead me in the right direction to updating my computer

I never even had an Ipod,my first mp3 was a 1gb creative zen.I still have it.I always loved the radio that ipod never had.My kids mail ordered me a 30gb creative M video for fathers day last year...TWICE!!! Neither of them worked,had to send them back one at a time. After the 2cd one I took the cash and went to Wal-Mart and bought a 30gb Zune.It's been a mad crazy love affair ever since.At least that's what my wife says.You just can't come between a man and his Zune.

Everything you said is why I got a Zune, accept for not liking the ipod when you had it because I never had one. I did own a Creative product like you talked about, and loved it! I got it because knowone else had one.But I didnt like the lack of memory, I had a 8GB Zen Micro Photo. When I smashed mine in my bookbag at school, I took that opportunity to explore and get another electronic that nobody that I knew had, a Zune!

My first MP3 player was a iRiver 256MB... had that for 6 or 7 years (Still love it, though it doesn't get that much love now because of my new Zune... I probably would've bought another iRiver if they were still in the HDD player market). So naturally I wanted a new player. I considered the iPod, especially since it was popular and will display East Asian characters, but I never really liked the interface and iTunes. Then I played with the Zune 80 on display at a store and I loved it. It was enough to win me over not having the East Asian language support.

Well I got my Zune for Christmas the first year it came out from my mom or was it santa

. Basically I wanted the Zune because I really thought it was going to be the iPod killer and it was advertised really good. The Zune look nice, was completely different from the iPod, and I wanted the attention (which it has given lots because hardly anyone has ever seen one in person).

I bought the Zune because I wanted to be diff. i wanted people to be like "WTF is that thing????" Also love Microsoft, great OS!!! And finally not a fan of iTunes. Not as good as the Zune Marketplace....i think.

I was going to Walmart to get an ipood. When I got there I was talking to the little lady helping me pick one out and she asked me if I had seen the new zune.. I had not, so I looked, loved the features and the amount of storage. So I gave it a try. I love it.

I had two iPods before I got my Zune, one of the first iPod mini's and an old 20GB iPod. They both ****ed up on me in some way (though, we got the 20gb at Best Buy with the service thingy, so I was able to get that fixed). My Zune was originally my step-dad's. I played with it a bunch of times while it was in his possession, and I loved how big and clear the screen was (good for me, being halfway blind =/ ) and how much better it looked than my old iPod. He was planning on getting rid of it cuz he didn't use it much, so I figured, I'd put it to good use, and good use it's been put to ever since!

And so this was how I was united with the love of my life =3

i chose the zune, because everyone has an ipod! my brother has an ipod! i wanted to be different...so i got the zune 30 (when it first came out) instead of the ipod...now i have the zune 80 and love it! plus the apple click wheel blows...i hate it...

I just thought that the look and feel of the zune was alot more appealing than the ipod. also the back of the ipod gets scratched way too easy and everyone seemed to have an ipod so i just wanted something different.

I'm an I.T. consultant and I chose the Zune over the iPod because I don't pirate and I've recovered too many crashed computers that had been chocked full of hundreds of dollars of purcahsed iTunes songs that all went bhy-bhy.

And with Zune, instead of spending $15 for an album or two, I can get access to millions of songs. I can sample music that I never would have though of paying money for, keep it if I like it and get rid of it if I don't, all at no additional expense. You can't do that with an iPod.

I suppose a quicker way of saying it would be that I chose Zune over iPod for the same reason that I pay for a rate plan for my phone instead of "pay-as-you-go."

Oh, and I hate Apple.
