I work at Best Buy and I have customers come up to me wanting Zunes, Zune accessories or just Zune help.
I did not know that many people had Zunes.

I know of... 9 people, including myself, who own a Zune at the High School in my town (I don't go there - I was homeschooled. And now I'm going to the community college for my Junior and Senior year... I graduate Spring '09, baby, with two years of free college! W00t! Anyway, back to the point: There may very well be lots more people with Zunes in my area who I don't even know about.).
Edit: The town I live in has a population of ~3500. It's in southwest Minnesota. Last edited by Spirotot : 09-22-2008 at 11:37 AM. |

So far I've seen two 4 or 8 GB players and three 80 GB ones, on my lovely metropolis's public transit system. In contrast I usually see three or four nanos, a classic or two, and at least three touches/iPhones- on one trip.
I think the Zune is starting to catch on now that they're better equipped to compete with Apple. One thing to remember though is that people will tend to stick with the brands they're used to. If my h10s hadn't died I'd probably still have an iRiver. That's also not counting the fact that thanks to DRM you could have a good chunk of your music only compatible with an iPod -or a Zune for that matter- so that would discourage a lot of people from switching brands. |
