My Newbie Zune Experience

So, I have to share this story because it was a true "sticking it to the man" type of thing and when I first started it I didnt realize that Id be getting satisfaction back ten fold with this newly aquired device.

About a year and 4 months ago when the summer of 07 first started, my friend showed me this site that Microsoft put out called Club Live. Now, this site was a publicity stunt in order to show off their product and possibly take over the market, which, obviously, failed, the iPod still has it by like 60 something percent. Its like the 360 vs the PS3, the 360 is "better" because its cheaper and everyone has it, but the PS3 has 4x more quality. That was a good analogy.

Anyway, Club Live offered little flash games that you could play to get points, so if you played them daily, you could get a potentially large amount of points. The Zune was being offered for 8000 points, and the most you can get on one account was 10000. They had other things like mmicrophone headsets, webcams, etc., but I wanted a zune. So I played for a day and said "this sucks, this would take forever."

My friend happened to show me a program that played the games for you, and he went on the high score page of the website and showed me that people were constantly getting 10000 points within days, so obviously, I wasnt going to be the only one doing it. So, I used this program and in about 6 hours, I had a little over 9500 points.

I traded in my points for my Zune and that was it.
Now, it has been over a year and guess what appears in the mail with a large "CLUB LIVE" sticker on it? You guessed it, a 30gb red edition Zune.

Now Ive had it for a couple of weeks and I absolutely love it. Ive been putting games, videos, music, books, etc. on it and I enjoy it every day when I go on break at work or when Im sitting around on my days off.

A lot of you are going to think Im pathetic or something because I cheated to get my Zune, but I didnt think it would work because there were so many people doing it honestly. Microsoft makes so much money, I figure why bother to call and tell them about their mistake?

Im currently saving up for an 80 so I can store more music and movies on it because Im almost out of room (I have a lot of music).

So what'd you guys think?

Great to see you finally got your Zune, hope you get years of enjoyment out of it.

Yeah I have the money but I also have a kid on the way so I may just wait a bit. Maybe sell some things to make money for myself ya know.
