Okay, so my story isn't really as epic as the title would make it sound. Let's start off by telling you a little bit about me (which IS related to the story). I lose things very often. One of my sad childhood memories is the sudden disappearance of my preciously saved-up $26 from when I still had no allowance, but I could occasionally ask my parents for money. I swear. It just disappeared from inside my piggy bank. I lose pens and erasers all the time, ESPECIALLY those white-out tape thingies. If I saw one suddenly get up, I wouldn't really be surprised. I've lost every single high school text book I've been assigned (although my equally irresponsible locker buddy might be to blame). Anyhoo, I got my first mp3 when I was in 6th grade, around the age of 11. It was a 512 MB iPod shuffle, the stick one. It was a Christmas present, and I seriously just asked for it because I wanted to be "trendy". I didn't really need it. In fact, I only had about 30 songs on it (sad, eh?) I lost it on a trip to Thailand. It was hanging around my neck (it comes with a lanyard so you can wear it as a necklace) and it dropped somewhere without my knowledge. So, on my 13th birthday I got my second iPod- a 1GB shuffle (silver). This time around, I had upwards of 100 songs on it, but I still was really getting it because I wanted to be part of the iPod nation. I lost this one in my high school freshman year; it was stolen from my gym locker. Someone had actually pried it open, reached in, and took it :[. Then, I got ANOTHER iPod on my 14th birthday. This time it was a lime green 4GB iPod nano (the nano without video). This time around I was much more cautious, so it wasn't stolen. And then one day it made like Houdini and disappeared from my pocket. I was only in three places that day, and there was literally only about 100 square feet it could've been but alas, it was gone. This time, I had discovered music- I found that I was going crazy without any mp3 player. And I was tired of iPods. Maybe it was the lack of features or maybe it was that I could've been cursed. Anyways, after nights and nights of exhaustive research, I had accomplished nothing but found that there were scores of good mp3's (Zune included), and I couldn't decide. So I just said "screw it" and got the Zune since it seemed the most trustworthy, with the second-largest mp3 community. It's been almost two months, and I haven't regretted my decision. I'm never going back to iPods again. It's a shame it took me 3 iPods to realize that.

well if you got zunes instead of ipods then you would have lost 3 zunes and that would have been a HUGE tragedy.

I was kind of like that, too. Only I broke everything, not lost it xDDD Things broke without reason and all my mp3s froze on me out of nowhere, although I've never really had an iPod. My current Zune hasn't broke since I bought it and is the longest lasting one so far XDDD
