The Zune is the best player ever for these three reasons:
1. easy to use
the zune has an extremely user friendly interface and can be used by anyone, unlike an Ipod (

) or a zen ()
2. accepts mods and hacks
self explanatory

3. can play games really well.

Two isn't really valid, especially if you're talking about the Zune device, but the others are.
The iPod is much more hackable.
But much worse

updating firmware for free! that was awesome about zune too. have you read that Zuneboards article about how Apple charges for firmware upgrades? ridiculous
