This is my personal story: Once apon a time, there was a little boy who didnt know anything about anything. This boy got a radio alarm clock and was suddenly addicted to Metal. Many years later, from cd player tp MP3 players, his cravings got bigger. For christmas, he asked his dad to spend a little more money for an Ipod. About 3 months later the battery over heated. The boy went to Best Buy to go and try to replace it... he was denied... He bought an Ipod of the next gen, hoping it would be better, with his birthday money. 2 months later he accidentally droped his ipod and the screen cracked, though everything was mostly still visable... Then he set it down... Once he picked it back up the screen had some how gotten 2 more cracks... After his horrid experience with Ipod and some other MP3's, he later got online and researched the zune. Many things peaked his intrest such as the cure for ipods bain: a scratch resistant coating; video playing abilitied, an ability to share music with friends, and a more masculine color of green (which was big points for me). So far hes dropped his poor zune many times, while it takes no damage... happyness. And thus my story ends...

and to protect it ill use a little thing called a case, its better than carrying a brick around.

I did have a case for my second one, it was a nice $35 leather one, then the thing's battery over heats T_T... I have the 8 gig, so its not a brick at all, its about the same size as a nano cept taller and skinnyer, which I personally think fits better in my pocket. I havent had problems syncing, maby I can help if you still have your zune.
