Default [SOLVED] Screw Zune and screw Microsoft

I'm in disbelief right now. After selling my Creative 30GB player just to get a Zune, and looking forward to getting it for months, finally comes the day my Zune arrived. Boy was I happy, it looked so beautiful and elegant, and the screen was incredible. But, what do you know? The thing crashed every 10 seconds, and then told me I had to delete everything off it. So I did that hard reset everyone talks about, and now the piece of crap software won't let me update it because there's not enough space (really? I would think 0 out of 80 gigs would leave some room). And now I'm left with a $250 paperweight. F**ing A.

Words can't express how disappointed I am at what turned out to be another Microsoft headache. Nothing left to do now but return and get an iPod. Woohoo.

Not sure if I'm up for waiting a month just to have the same thing happen again.

Doesn't take a month...they send you a box in the mail, put your Zune in the box, FedEX the box, you get it back in 2-3 weeks.

Almost a month, but not quite.

I'm not sure that I believe you. Your story doesn't make very much sense. Every product will have a certain number of defects in it and the ones that you claim you have would be covered by the basic product warranty. This is mandated by law in the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. It's the basic law of that is required by law merchantability.

If you are telling the truth about it failing like that and you didn't call them, then you deserve it.

Huh? Why would I lie about how my Zune failed? It was freezing over and over, so I restarted it and it came up with a message saying something like "You must delete all content to resolve an error". Then I went on Microsoft's troubleshooting guide, and did the hard reset (which is recommended by lots of people to solve those kinds of issues), and did everything the site told me, went to update the firmware and the software says that it can't update the device because there is no space. If you don't want to believe that, whatever.

That being said, I'll take the easy/quick way out and return it to Wal-Mart for a replacement tomorrow.

Well, I must say, it is a bit challenging getting a working zune 2(at least in my experiences so far) but once you recieve a working one, it owns.

Yeah, you do. But we mustn't stray too far off topic, I'd rather not receive another infraction.

Congratz on getting a working zune. I find it weird that there's all these defective zunes, both my zune 30/80 have never had any problems, yet I hear all these stories. Oh well, congratz and good luck with your new zune.
