Why does Microsoft hate it's customers?

I have a legit copy of Windows Media Center 2002, and it doesn't work with the Zune.

Why? Microsoft isn't satisfied enough that I bought their product once, but they want me to buy a new version of it.

WTF?

I've tried the hacks out there, and now I'm waiting for a new hack to come out.
My zune is updated my software won't.

It's not so much that Microsoft hates their customers, as that they have gotten fat and sloppy like any big corporation that has monopoly control over their main market. With so many billions in profits on Windows, MS can afford to have lots of dead wood on their payroll. They can miss deadlines, write zillions of extra lines of code, produce terrible bloatware, and suffer little or no consequences.

That being said, I'm surprised the software doesn't work for you. I'm running it on 2 laptops, XP Home SP2 and Vista Home Premium, and have no problems installing or updating. It does run slowly and has some bugs, but ver 2.5 is an improvement.

Agbasp, try installing with SZIP2.5.

That's what I tried, but it won't sync without a new software update.

You tried SZIP2.5? Thats the latest version.

Yeah the 2.5. My guess is that it updated the firmware, but didn't fully update the software. Somebody else is having the same problem on the SZip2.5 Thread.

Funny thing is that it'll work and sync on the downstairs computer but not mine : (
The downstairs computer has windows XP Pro though.
