LOVED my Zune 30--- until it got stolen

I got my first (and only) Zune on Christmas of '07, one of those brown ones that so many people seemed to think looked like a turd. I loved the color. I used to have an iPod, but the way the stupid thing liked to freeze for no reason annoyed me, because you had to wait until it ran out of batteries to fix it. So, yeah, I asked for a Zune as my present.

So, I got it. I thnk it was the greatest MP3 player ever, especially after I found this site and saw the Hacks section. >.> I had it up until last friday, but then my locker in school got busted open. No more cellphone, no more headphones, no more Zune. So sad, ne?

Now I'm searching for another Brown zune, not the new design. Unfortunately, I won't have a job until the summer, so I'm on a low budget, and finding it under $120 is turning out to be very hard. *sigh*

Well, good luck finding a new one, and they changed the design from the old one? It's gonna be harder to find the original brown zune then... Well who knows, maybe you'll get lucky.

I guess so. But all the sites I've seen only took Paypal or credit cards, but I don't have either. Really sucks.

I knew M$ should have installed an anti-theft device that would shock thieves with 100,000 volts. But,that sucks that someone stole your Zune.

Zune 4 & 8 gigs are 50 percent off at target i believe so like 70-100 bucks. Thats a great deal instead of playing 150+

well, microsoft can make the "lock" option with a password. so like whenever you "unlock" your zune it would ask for a password or something, or else you cant access anything, even if you hard reset it.

YES definitely a password so no thieves and if someone entered the wrong pass word it more than 5 times it would send a signal to a wi fi router and have ms email u

Thats why I keep mine in my pocket, or if i got to the gym in my trunk hidden under my spare tire. You just can't trust people anymore, if you ever could.

That sucks man. That is the reason I don't keep anything of value in my locker. It may suck to carry it when you aren't using it, but to me it's not worth the risk of leaving it.

I was completely in love with my Zune as well. It started one Friday morning when I was cleaning out my car listening to my Zune. I had the launch 30 gb Black one. I was cleaning out the backseat when this guy who lives in my neighborhood asked me for a ride somewhere for which he'd pay me. The dude had been in my house and chilled so everything was [cool] or so I thought.
After driving around for 20 minutes, the guy told me he'd be right back with the money he was giving me for the ride. Cool. After 10 minutes, I'd come to the conclusion that he'd gipped me. As pissed as I was, I really wasn't sweating it until I remembered that I left my wallet and phone in my apartment. I turned around to listen to my Zune since I didn't want to waste anymore gas waiting for dude. Lo and behold, my faithful Zune, ATLien, was gone.

I'm getting another one eventually, so until then I guess I'll just be listening to music through the software.

If the person who has it just happens to already have a zune sync cable and they hook it up to a computer you might have a chance of finding them. My friend had all of his stuff taken (zune, cables, headphones...) but they guy who stole it hooked up everything to his computer. I dont know how this happened but i guess somehow the guy who stole the zune got logged into my friends zune account and the songs were updating daily - so the person who stole it was obviously using it on their computer. My friend went to the cops and they got the IP address of the guy who stole it and contacted his service provider and got all of this dudes info, found him, got the zune back, and put the guy in jail and on probation

I also had my zune stolen from me. So i went 4 months without it while searching the pawn shops for a new one. and lo and behold. i found my old one and got it back.
