zune - a pretty good portable media player

Positives:
It has 2 TV outputs
Both headphone out and pre-amp out
Charges by USB in about 3 hours - lasts 12 hours for music and 4 for video..
Insanely high speed CPU built in for portable media players (great for extra features in the near future)
WMV and MPEG4 video support, MP3 and WMA audio supports
One of very few PMPs with FM radio built in
Screen is smaller than Zen Vision W (insanely large screen makes media player WAYY TOO HUGE)

Negatives:
Sync software takes insanely long to send videos
Current support is lacking for video formats.
Larger screen than Ipod, but not largest screen out of all PMPs

Overall, its not the best Portable Media Player out there, but it's better than the ipod IMHO, making it by far not the worst. I love my BLACK Zune 30GB, and I won it for free.

I use PSP video 9 with the preset modified to be more like the MP4 support of ipod videos... uhm since the 2.3 update it's taken a lot less time to sync videos, but I sync whole movies and stuff like that, so ever since the zune sync software stopped having to turn everything into WMVs... it's shortenned , but it still takes over 2 hours per movie. I just wish it'd just send stuff over to the zune and do the final conversions before I actually want to sync... BLAGH. oh well, I'm not bothered by it, it just would be nice if the syncing process was just syncing and not converting as well.

For me it is when you consider they are the same resolution. Having a same resolution on a bigger screen makes you lose clarity on the image.

yes, I want v3 to have an uber resolution. I mean like 540 by 320 capibilites. And not just 320 by 240. It'd be a good upgrade in my opinion.

lol i know this is off topic but the idea came to me when i read this quote above.
anyways the idea is to have a "flip" zune! so it'll be the same size screen when it's closed. but when you open it up the screen is almost the size of those portable-DVD players :P

that would make zunes cost over $400 and that comment made me LOL but thanks for the ideas... someday we'll find a place to give all these ideas to MS
