Default Not Pleased with Zune 30

I bought a Zune 30 for $100 on a Black Friday sale last year and i have been pleased with it until now. I want to use media monkey to sync my zune and ive tried to use the zAlternator and since then ive had nothing but problems i tried to use also the tutorial about how to sync with media monkey and the hd patch wont work ive restarted my computer twice and installed updates but it still wont work. Microsoft should just let the zune come unlocked so that you can use any program to sync it. Ive been trying to use the back left center command to clear it and its not working. this is the second day ive been trying to change the programs and its not working. Also, i plug my usb cable it and it will connect to my computer very few times but still will charge every time i plug it in. any tips would be greatly appreciated

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Zune software. That should help.

Count me as another user who is so disgusted with the buggy software I wish I could organize a class-action suit against Microsoft.
Sometimes just adding a few new mp3's takes half an hour, because the software refuses to add them, or it deletes other tracks while syncing, or various other problems too many to mention.
I have an 8GB RCA Opal, much cheaper than the Zune 30. But I can add tracks to the Opal in one minute, with a few more minutes for it to rebuild the database.
Why can't Zune users have that simplicity? Micro$oft is just killing its opportunity to gain market share with this un-professional software.

Most of us do. It's unfortunate that you're having problems, but don't be dramatic and imply we are all being sucked into some vortex of suckiness that is the Zune software. I've had a few problems, but overall I am very satisfied by my Zune.

I don't mean to sound totally unhappy, because I do like the Zune 30 hardware, for what I paid. Also I know that the moderators here are MS employees so I don't mean any personal offense. But why does the software sometimes automatically add or delete songs when I have it set to manual sync and guest???? This has happened twice now, I have no idea why. And when I ripped some mp3's on my XP system, then transferred them to my laptop running Zune on Vista Home Premium, the software would not add them or acknowledge them at all!! I had to re-rip the cd on the laptop before I could add them.
I would just like to see some reasons why MS could not let us use Windows explorer like some cheaper players do? Wouldn't that seem obvious? Don't they realize the difficulty of the Zune software is costing them customers. If Zune doesn't build enough market share, the wifi will be useless because users won't meet each other. And that would likely doom the Zune as a player in the market.

If all those tips they told you don't work then send the zune in and you will get a refurbished one back.

Uninstall with unzoone and reinstall with the full package.

You can't sue them because you don't like the software.

My opinion about the zune software is that it is indeed a bit un-user friendly, but it syncs DAMN fast... (about 5 gig in less then 4min) compare that to iTunes
The thing that I don't like is that I'm unable to put different songs together under one album unless I make sure ALL the info of the songs, exept the titles match. Otherwise, I have 20x the same album in my Zune...
But overall I'm very pleased with my Zune
