Bye bye Zune, hello Zen!

After owning a Zune 30 for several months, I finally decided it was just too much work. I won't go into details about it but it's been very frustrating and disappointing. I certainly won't say I hate it or that I think it's a bad product, it just isn't quite right for me. So I bought a Creative Zen and I'm tremendously happy with it. I can put my music on it and - ready for this Zune folks? - IT STAYS ON IT. I know, I know, I'm still amazed too. I'm just getting over that feeling of fear you get when you turn on your Zune and see how much of the time you spent ripping CDs and renaming files so they'll hopefully be where you want them to be and going through photos and editing and on and on and on was all wasted because it's all gone now, gone to Zune heaven, or wherever it goes. I can do what I want to do now (key word being "I"), not what the software does for me (or should I say dreadfully against me). It's such a relief to be able to enjoy my Zen without worry. The work to enjoyment ratio is much improved. Sorry for being a traitor, you guys have been very helpful and gotten me over some stumbling blocks with my Zune, so I thank you.

well im glad u got a player that works for you, too bad the zune didn't
the zen actually is a good player, i only got a zune cuz my zen died, but the zune works well for me

I've never been a Zen fan, though I know quite a few people online who are. If I wasn't with the Zune, I'd be with the iPod. Nothing else seems to stack up to me.

Traitor!! Blasphemy!! jk.. well atleast you ended up getting a zen and not the zune's worst enemy the icrap also known as ipoop, also known as i'drathergetazunebecauseipodsucks...but yeah. Congratz on the zen sorry to hear about the loss of a zune though. Well as long as your happy it's all good, happy Zen-ing!

I only say it since people here seem to have a completely irrational hate for the product. I'm not loyal to any company especially in terms of devices. I've got a Zune now, but if Microsoft wants to keep me then they'll have to do better than Apple again when the next breed of players are announced. BTW, #11 I love iPods

Hey, everyone has their preferences, so if you like one player over the next, it's just you being you, nobody here can change that you want to make yourself happy. Nice to have you around, and atleast you didn't throw it away after the first day, but stuck with it for a few months. Also, anybody here is glad to help anyone who wants a little help.

All you needed to do was set your Zune to guest mode so the songs would stay.

I went from a Zen MicroPhoto to the Zune, and I'd take the Zune any day of the week.

So... how much for the used 30 gb Zune?

OK I have a couple, but not outside of school since they live on base and they'd never let me in without a pass, which I'm not going to get.

Wow. I'd never be able to afford a 30 gb zune then just after decide i don't like it, and go buy something else as a replacement. and have never had any trouble with my zune, other than the occasional disappearing video. but. sorry you didn't like it.

Hey all,
I suppose I could keep the Zune and give it another try, I actually do like it. It just pissed me off a few times. I think the software would work better too if I upgrade my computer, which I might do soon. Plus you folks are very helpful and that's cool to have hard core fans that like to help you out. On the other hand, if somebody offered me a Benjamin plus shipping I'd be pretty tempted. I also have the Zune A/V output cable that'd be included.
