Best Mp3 Player for the money

I used to have a iPod Shuffle 512 mb, I hated that thing, you remember the old ones without a display? It was a gift and one I should have returned but as it was I needed an Mp3 player. I practically wore out the next song button lol you dont get to pick the song just click next, next, next... it got old very fast. When it came time for me to actually spend money on an mp3 player I bought a zune. Lots of reasons i guess, I dont own an apple computer so why would I buy an apple mp3 player was one reason, another was I wanted a bigger screen, I hate that stupid thumb wheel but lastly i guess they were just too trendy for me, I wont wear Old Navy clothes for that very reason after owning one now for 3 months I know I made the right decision. Zunes just Rock!

Best thing is I told my wife that since I love her so much I would give her my iPod, she was so happy, lol, then she saw my new Zune, needless to say I'll be buying a Pink 30gb zune in the near future. lol

you should say your buying her a pink 8gb zune.. much more smaller size.. but screen is smaller.. good enough for a female use though.. lol

As the proud female owner of an 80gb, I resent that comment!

But I have noticed the testosterone in these forums is ferociously high, so I guess I shouldn't get too offended by the (all-too-common) sexist remarks, eh?

Suffice to say not all women are fickle, flavor-of-the-month music people. I know plenty of men who don't have a single album on their mp3 players (and as a result, only want a few gb of space...boo).

I resent that comment too! The only way I'd have an 8 GB is in addition to my 80, I personally don't feel 8 GB is enough space for me. But I want lots of music, movies and I plan to even put a few work out videos on there for when I'm traveling LOL In my world bigger is better and the more GB... bring them on, I know I can handle it ; )

i just ordered a 30 off ebay and will be with me in a few days. £70 which i thought was pretty good
upgrading from a samsung yh925 20gb which had served me well for ast few years, without firm ware upgrades, accessories and terrible software.
was looking at a sansa view 24gb (16+8sdhc card) bt that was clocking in at £160, so went for the zune which seemed remarkably good value. fingers crossed for a guy on this board getting me a social account! (im in UK)

well mainly for the best buck.. for $150 for 4gbs.. i'll say the samsung touchscreen now

but for $100... yea.. the zune 30 is a good choice.. for money.

you can either get it on woot... or the days before black friday or thanksgiving sales.. those were the days you coulda got the zune 30 for $100-$130

I got my New Black Zune 30GB for free from winning it during the zune's run through the MS Live Search Club games. I wanted an Xbox 360 but settled for zune when I got enough for the zune... I was afraid the game would end before I got enough points for the 360.. (besides my brother already has a 360) I will gladly say from that point to now, that I never regret making the choice to order the 30GB zune. Best win ever.

I think the zune 8 is the best player for the $ (thus the reason I purchased one)

but I believe a very good bang for the buck player is the Insignia 8 gb for $150

it is not as polished as the zune, but it has a very complete feature set for the cash.
