I had my zune in my backpack, but I left the compartment unzipped so when I yanked up my backpack the zune shot out and hit a chair a few feet behind me... I nearly had a heart attack, but my zune came out scratchless.

I've only dropped it from about 2 feet, but I was listening to music at the time and it kept playing like it never knew what happened.

I threw my zune in front of a bullet train, and then had several steamrollers go back and forth over it, all while spraying it with a fire hose.

Works perfectly

but seriously i havent done anything to mien yet, and i hope it stays that way

i got my zune for five dollars from a friend who disected it with a knife in class.
I told him i'd by if if he stopped ripping it apart and fixed it during the next block
it works perfectly, except he snapped the headphone jack of when he was taking the case off, but it's fixable.
it's also fallen out of my pocket biking twice, and even once the shell came off, but it's still fine.
Solid like a rock

well... just to test mine... I've thrown it at a concrete wall... it still works... and is awesome as every. Sadly after that... |A wormhole opened up, sucked it in, caused a rift in the space time continuum. Then after that... a infinite loop occurred... causing it to constantly fall out of the Wormhole and into the Blackhole. Then after that 300 Warlocks raided my zune. Afterwards, the zune summoned a minion.... and it had a power level of +9000! Let's just say that the zune won.|

I just dropped mine today on a brick floor from 5 feet.
It's completely fine.

The second day i had my zune i washed it, stopped working. Then i reterned it to walmart and the one i have now has been dropped a million times and it still works. The corners are a little dinged up though.

And now to add some balance to this thread...

I must have had super bad luck. My first Zune 80 was hardly a week old, and during application of the Invisibleshield I pressed down on the right edge of the Zune pad a little too hard, resulting in the glass cracking.

So I buy a replacement, and a short while later drop it on the floor, flat on its face. This time the glass survived, but I got the infamous Error 5: Contact support message. Sent it to rapidrepair, and they diagnosed a busted HD. So I'm now using the HD from the busted glass Zune to fix the second broken one

let's hope third time's a charm
