Infectious Zune

So I got a Zune 30gb the first day they were out, needing a new player after Creative screwed up my Nomad by bricking it with an "essential" firmware update that they refused to support. For the first few weeks, I got a lot of people asking me what the hell it was. All users (including mac addicts whom were attached by the hip to their iPods) were overall impressed with its design and functionality.

So a few weeks after the "buzz" died down, I had a lot of people asking me where to get one (the price was the final selling point apparently).

Well..proud to say that a year + later, I have over 30 friends whom are PROUD Zune owners such as myself (which hey! Works out..cuz seriously..the "social" is only effective if you can actually use it). Most of which made the move from iPod to Zune after the 2.1 firmware switch, and they saw how my 1 year old Zune was just as good as the newer models, free of charge. Extra points to Microsoft for SMART customer care.

Lame story I suppose, but I am proud of the many Zunes I have connected to due to my endorsement

It's the complete opposite at my school. i only know like 2 ppl that own a zune. they're just all too attached to their ipods. don't see why.

yeah, the zune is infectious

i have similar story with my friends but no where near as much as you have been able to affect. very good job indeed. hopefully the zune continues to catch on so that the social can catch on. i would love to use the ability to share music with others.

I went to radio shack this evening and the Zunes were right there in a display at the front door. Cant miss them. My woman and I and a woman at work's two kids are the only ones i know with them so far. But, Im working on changing that fast.

2 people total(including myself) in my homeroom of 18 have a Zune.

About 9-10 in the whole school.

i haven't seen zune spread around where i live
they like their ipods too much to give it up for a zune
i cant convince any1 to change
so i have yet been able to use the wireless feature

At the begining of this year i knew 4 ppl including myself who owned a Zune. As of today...I know of at least 16 in my grade alone.

I'm slowly seeing more and more people with a Zune around here, it's really neat and I'm glad it's slowly catching on because we need the social!

My lunch table started with 2 zunes and easily 8 iPods. Now that ratio is 5 zunes and the rest are working on getting rid of their iPods XD
