Default I wish the Zune could do more from the device

Now, I love our Zune. We've had it for almost a year now and have talked five friends into buying them. But as long as we're wishing, I wish that the Zune could do more directly within the device instead of going through the Zune software.

Like...Add & delete songs from playlists. Connect to the Zune marketplace via Wi-Fi (without computer intervention). Delete songs & albums.

Oh, I also wish that the software kept the playlists synced automatically (it may already and I just haven't figured it out yet). And, now that there are (supposedly) good Bluetooth headsets available, it would be nice if it had integrated Bluetooth (hey, this is a wish list). And I wish the Zune marketplace had audiobooks.

And if it could play Descent II, that would be just perfect.

There have been quite a few times that I wanted to delete/add songs to my playlist without having to go to my computer.

Yes, it sounds like we are in agreement.

I've wondered before why the Zune can't delete files directly. It seems like it would be a simple thing to implement. I wonder if it's a file fragmentation issue; adding and deleting a whole bunch of small files could frag up a HDD quickly, but I don't know why it would be any different then deleting them from a computer.

And, while on that topic, I've never notice the Zune software ever defraging the device, that could be problematic. But I think I'm going off topic.

You CAN wireless sync now.. Of course, you still need to go to your PC but I mean, it's easier than plugging it in(I have a USB hub and have to reach to the back of my PC to connect the Zune Sync Cable to it. I'm 15, and I'm fat too, so it's REALLY hard to do it. Then again, getting back their is a bitch for ANYONE).

I think deleting would be really helpful or at least be able to take one song off of the quicklist without erasing the whole list.

Question

i think its safe to say deletion would be a great idea. Thats one thing MS should consider.
would that fall under firmware?
or the zune?

It would have to be the firmware to delete a song on the Zune using the Zune.
