The first day with my Zune.

Early yesterday afternoon, the FedEx man finally showed up at my door with a tiny box with the word "woot!" imprinted on it.

Woot!, is correct. My Zune made it!

I slowly cut the box open, remove the Zune's box and being to cut the little pieces of tape. After a few careful cuts, my shiny [like] new Zune is in my hands. Still cold from traveling in chilly trucks for a few days. I quickly set up the sync cable to warm it up, and feed it's hungry hard drive.

After what seemed like forever, my Zune that I dubbed Scathraax, decided it had enough content. It almost jumped from my desk to my hand, ready to be held and listened to.

Some cuddling and loving later, I run into some problems with videos that had been synced. Turns out my lovely little Scathraax doesn't want to play nice with .wmv metatags. I try to fix the problem, but Scath is having none of it.

Shortly after our first little spat together, Scathraax seems to have told his good friend, the Zune Software, to be a pain too.
Mr. Software likes to mix up the metadata of my videos too, and completely rename some files, just for kicks. On top of that, he adds some screwy album art to one of my favorite albums!
Fed up, I decide to ignore it for the night.

I end the night on a sweet note with Scath, as we enjoy a movie before goin' to sleep.

Things seem to be fine between us today. I even managed to ninja around behind Mr. Software and fix up his pesky little album art prank!
