I picked it up in less than 8 seconds when it dropped. At first nothing seemed wrong with the Zune but as I was walking the Zune kept on cutting off like the music would pause on its own...but when I made it to the Library the Zune cut off again it just went black and it's not cutting back on....what should I do......

Well you SHOULD have turned it off immediately... you probably shorted when trying to play even more music.

Sorry to hear that, but it was user error, not the device error.
Troubleshooting This
- Turn your Zune OFF (Back + Up)
- Open Your Zune Up and remove the battery
- Use a hair dryer to dry it out as much as possible
- Leave it open, and keep it on a warm (not hot) place where it won't melt or catch fire (such as on top of a TV or Cable Box)
- Still doesn't work? You can pop cell phones in the oven on 125*F with water damage for repair, but pixels go dead and it doesn't always work. I don't know if the Zune's casing can handle this though
My trouble shooting tips *Will* Void your warranty (although it is probably void now). Find out if you can send it in for service or not. If not, you may want to try.
Ps: Please post in the correct section next time
