Is it me or deos the zune add more color to your media?
It seems that when i put pictures or video on my zune it enhances the color, which I think is great. I took a scenery picture of an island with my camera phone (1.3mp) and when i viewed it on my pc the color was the same as it was on my phone but when i synced it to my zune the color was more vibrant and just looked beautiful. I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this with there zune or am I just loosin my mind
Taking a large picture and making it smaller usually makes it look better. But I think in this case it has to do with the backlighting used in the Zune compared to that of your computer monitor(Assuming your monitor is LCD). The Zune uses LED's as it backlight source which has been proven to improve color representation and is becoming more popularly used in monitors. But most LCD monitors still use CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps) which emits a bright White light to illuminate the display. CCFL displays have a tendency to make darker colors appear brighter and more "Faded" then they actually are due to the white light. Which can take away some of the color representation.
yes, the zune deals with i believe 56k colors and my iaudio7 uses 250k colors, meaning better quality of pics/vids on the iaudio except its so small it does not matter really.
anyway, yes i believe that it does look very vibrant, and considered the brightness and backlight and such would really seem to give the photos i have on my zune life(they are CGI mostly)
my friends even after seeing video on my zune after the first day i had it thought it might actually be a hi-def type of screen. which i doubted, but thought it had very good quality visuals
