Painting the zune, How I did it.

I just recently bought chrome spraypaint and acrylic clear coat. Ill post pics after it done, but here is the process of preping it.

I bought a screen cover so the screen wouldnt get ****ed up,

Then i bought painters tape to cover the buttons, the wheel, hold ect..

I got a block of styrofoam and put four tooth pics to hold it up.

then i did what i do best.. **** things up.

Pics will be up later cuz i got some hair in da paint so i had to sand and redo.

eek, sand! hope it turns out good! my only problem with doing this is that the paint could seep down between those very small spaces between the buttons and the case and dry up and be sticky..... but hopefully that's not your case looking forward to some pics

Maybe is better disarm the zune and paint the original zune shell individualy and let it dry very well

that sounds like a better plan if he's comfortable opening the shell up... looking forward to some pics

yeah, the shell is pretty easy to pry open.

I am planning on gettings two new panels from rapid repair due to the current ones have scratches from a large drop.

I will the sand the old one down smooth and either matte black or gloss black it.

Would look pretty kickass i think , so i wonna see your outcome.

I advise you to not do it because i have totally messed up my zune. It is possible to make it look nice but it is extremely difficult to not put marks into the paint!!!

Yea the zune isnt messed up but the shell is so i bought an new one fr 15.oo

Me personally. Would just have bought a different case in the first place. And practiced on that. And not on my zune. So if it didnt work, it all be good. Also I would just use a marker. Paint is to much.

But what he wants is chrome, a marker is like wtf.. and yeah that would be the best idea.. anyway he messed it up

Yea. Marker. Just easier w/o the risk. I'm not saying a bland black marker. Maybe gold or silver.

where did you get the replacement panels for only 15$? and do you have any plans to show your messed up paint job? cuz im still curious how it turned out.

this reminds me one I first bought my game boy SP. I tryed painting it, and messed it up really bad. I kept painting over hte paint OVER adn OVER and OVER again, but I just made it look really ugly.



BTW I would never dream of paint my two zunes. I look forward to seeing your painted though
