So my 14 day free trial is up, but all my songs I got from the pass on my Zune still work. This is most liekly because I haven't synched my Zune with the computer since it expired (hooray for AC adapters!). Now, if I ever want to get anything new on it, the second I hook it up and open the zune software, will it send the message to my Zune that my songs have expired?
Hmm... neither of this is happening. The songs still work on my zune, and as far as I know, still on my PC. Then again, I haven't tried off my PC... But, what's weird is that every time I open my laptop and my Zune is on, the Zune software will fire itself up and automatically synch my music wirelessly to my Zune. First off, I didn't even know it could do that, I thought you had to go into your Zune and go the the "wireless synch" thing. Second... If it's synching wirelessly (I'm able to put new songs on it this way), why aren't my songs getting deleted? Is it because I'm still not using the physical coord to connect my Zune to my PC? Or is it that I haven't been to the Zunestore on my Zune? Or, did the 14 day pass just let me keep all my songs as part of the "10 free sogns a month" deal?
My zune pass expires on Feb 3rd, but the music itself doesn't expire until the 6th. So maybe your in the limbo area where the pass has expired but the music hasn't yet.
Right click on your music file and see what it says under the licence.
I never entered a credit card number... it was a 14 day free pass.
I think I know what's happening... and it's an awesome loophole. If my zune is being charged by the ac adapter, and the zune software is open, my zune synchs wirelessly and i can put songs on it this way. All my Zune pass songs still work. It seems as long as I don't hardwire my zune into the computer, I get to keep my songs on my Zune

Mine was similar for a while, but soon it started saying on my Zune and PC "Usage Rights Restricted. Please Sync with PC." or something like that, and that was about a week after my trial had ended

Interesting, when I signed up for my 14 day pass I had to enter a CC number, the reason said it was to verify eligibility for the pass.
'k, so the songs finalyl stopped working So I coughed up $15 bucks and i've synched my zune and such, but the songs still dont' work.
Plug your Zune in, make sure the Zune Software is up and make sure you're logged into the account that the Zune pass is linked to.
Make sure that your Zune is linked to the Zune pass account as well.
It should update the DRM on the songs allowing you to listen to the songs you got off of the Zune Marketplace again.
