What's the story with the Gen 3s?

Hello all! I will be getting my brand spank'in new Zune 120 in the mail today. I just have one question right now.

What's the story with the Gen 3s? From what I've read the 120's are Gen 3. However, I'm starting to have a few doubts about that... Is there a Gen 2 Zune 120? I thought the new Zune 120's where all Gen 3 and that you could tell them apart from the 80 due to a changed front panel (from metal to a shiny plastic) and a new black cover on the underside.

that is true, but its, if you look at it, only really a revised Gen2. Many people here don't class it as Gen3 kinda Gen 2.1 The front panel IS shiny and IS black on the back, but that's the only difference from the real Gen2.
Anything else, or have i just confused you more?!

they are technically gen2. they look awesome though. gen3 is supposed to come out next year
