Hopefully this works. I've been having the same problem and actually just gave up on waiting for an official MS fix and just wiped it comeplete. Wish I had googled for this first. The zune has been wonderful up until now (I didn't even pay for it, it was broken and I replaced the HDD ) and that was my only complaint ever. Consistently it would not track time, and when it wasn't tracking time, the pause button did not work properly (If I paused and then chose to go to the next track, it would resume playing but the pause logo would still be there. Grrr. )

Thanks

Yeah, mine has started freezing all over again and I didn't change anything. MS needs to fix this .

Sadly mine is still losing track of time with the games reinstalled. (COMPLETE reformat/reinstall of firmware incase there was a micro build)

This fix stopped working, and my Zune 30 has only gotten worse:

-Freezes.

-Time meter issues.

[B]-It. won't. pause.

My Zune 30 seems to work fine now that it has the 'default' background.
No more freezing, no more randomly shutting down. Still wanna upgrade to a 120 though.

I did this, and at first I thought it was fixed, but then it froze again. It just reduced the number of times it happens.

By the way, for those have the glitches,

I tried this and it fixed my "chipmunk" podcasts. I've been using the soft reset to fix the song timer bug. We'll see if this fixes both. Thanks!
