does the music have drm? how can I keep songs for more that 1 month?

Yes, it has DRM. No,you can't keep it for any longer than you are subscribed for; you are renting the music, you don't own it. To strip it is truly theft.

I dont know about you but if Im paying a monthly fee for 'unlimited downloads' I want to buy them not rent them

Well regardless of what you may want, that's what it is. So don't complain about they fact that they don't have the service you like, because there is no legal way to get such a thing. No one in their right mind would sell an easily redistributable object for such a price. They need to do something to have a viable commericial product and appease the record labels. If you want unlimited music DRM free for cheap, your only option is P2P. No business could survive offering such a service as you desire, so it's foolhardy to complain about it. Does Netflix let you keep all the DVD's they send without sending them back, or do they let you download all the video files you want? Does eMusic give away unlimited downloads? No. Both are subscription based services, and subscriptions must have limitations. That's the way the system works. If you don't like it, then feel free to use illegal methods, and assume all the risks that will entail.
