I'm using a Zune 80 and this happens 100% of the time. I have to skip to the next song so that I can go back and choose a different song of my Zune will freeze. It happens whenever there is less that 15 seconds left on the track.
ive had my zune 30gb for more than a year now, and i cant stand how it freezes up on me. its been happening to me ever since the 2.0 firmware update. Ever since the 3.0 update its only happened like once so im cool. I just want it to stop!
I have a 30GB. I thought I had fried it from the heat, but that didn't make since because it just all of a sudden happened in the morning before going to work. I can't play any of the games, preinstalled and a couple from here, I can't choose any song I want without it freezing, I can listen to the radio and I can have it shuffle through if I hit "Shuffle All Songs." So I figured I'd reformat it, through the 2.5 firmware back on it, and then put my songs and stuff back on. Well, I plug it in and try to put my songs on. Won't work. Tries to get some songs, then the Zune restarts without warning and the Zune Media Player says there's been an error and to restart my Zune. So if I can find the 2.5 firmware (I thought I saw it on here last week) then I'm gonna try that, because this is seriously pissing me off.
well at least i know exactly whats causing it now. i knew it had something to do with changing songs as it happened to me twice when i changing tracks in the 'show song list' while listening to another song. didnt try to make it happen again though. thanks, ill try to make sure i dont do that now.
yes this has happened to me several times now....i guess ill have to hold out and not change into a new song while the current song is ending until they release a new firmware update...hope they do it soon!
I just found out about this error, tried it on my Zune 80 (3.0 Firmware/Software) about 10 or 15 times and it didnt freeze up once, i'm glad, although it sucks lots of others have this problem.
I've got a brand new Zune 120GB, that I've only used for less than an hour total, and it has locked up on me twice so far when I clicked "Play All" for an album. I had to reboot using the instructions in the manual.
