Default Microsoft makes me laugh.

So a couple of friends and I decided to play the Live Search Club games in August 2007 for a free Zune though I already had one. We all were very excited that we finally got enough points all within a couple of days of each other. We cashed in our points on the website and waited.

And waited.

Friend A got a white Zune in the mail from Microsoft in September 2007, and Friend B and myself waited until October, eventually forgetting about it. Today (September 25, 2008) I came home to find a package addressed to me from Microsoft. I opened it up to find a black Zune 30 brand new with the Live Search Club sticker on it.

I called both Friend A and Friend B, and they both thought it was crazy that I got it. Friend B called me back about 20 minutes later that his mom had found a package for him containing a black Zune 30 on his porch. He was very excited as you can guess.

This leads me to believe that Microsoft definitely didn't consider that program a priority at all. Brightened my day though.

Someone on here just did the same thing and the battery when they got it was dead, not holding a charge dead, which to me seems to restate Microsoft obviously doesnt take to much priority in this program.

All I know is all three that have been received by myself and people I know were excellent. Maybe that other person Just happened to get a bad one.

Even Microsoft wouldn't sully their reputation by sending out bad stock for free.

I got mine from the Microsoft's Club Live too.
The charge was dead, all it took was installing Zune software, and then plugging in the Zune. Then it took around 2-3 hours to charge fully. Now it works perfectly. I am still having trouble with making it into a HDD hack thing.

@JMcCaf:

Looks like you were lucky to find a spot to set the thing down, LOL!! Looks like my son's room (clean up that mess!).

Congrats on finally receiving your Zune, if just a tad late.

Well, I'm not sure if this is mentioned... But a TON of people are getting items ordered from back then. That was back when many people used NUKE to complete games, so Live Search Club fell apart pretty much.. just recently they began making up all the lost orders, and orders to people that hacked for prizes. Now people who even recieved zunes back in the day are getting duplicates, it's pretty nice. On top of that, club live has begun shipping out insanely fast, it's like 5-10 days for prizes recently.
