i just finished putting the 7th harry potter book on my zune, there are a couple hundered tracks. whenever i listen to my zune, i have it on shuffle. i am very dissapointed in the fact that every other song is the book. does anyone else feel that MS needs to release 3.1 ASAP with no changes but an Audiobook section on the main menu.

Not really. There is already audiobook support (Audible).

i already have it on the zune and it works, i was saying that there needs to be a folder on the main menu for audiobooks, just like there is one for music, videos, and pictures

agree. there should be a section in the zune software for audiobooks, to atleast view what is on the zune device and to delete the title. I can understand not having it as well since there wouldn't be a playbe due to audible/overdrive's drm/checkout setup.
but atleast list what titles are on the zune! ![]() |

I combine each disk of audiobook files into one mp3 using freeware called "Makeitone"
Then I edit the tag of the mp3 to 'genre' "Podcast" then I place the mp3's in the 'podcast' folder that zune created in my music folder on my computer. Now the audiobook shows up as podcasts on my zune. Each file is deleted automatically after I've finished it, and if I pause in the middle of a file, it always remembers where I was when I start it again. |
