Post New View for the Zune Software

I talked to a microsoft employee today at the supermarket (i live in washington so i see a lot of microsoft employees) and we got into a discussion about the zune software and he told me that he is one of the people in charge of the updating the client and that we will be seeing some big updates to the visual aspect as well as speed issues in the next 2 months or so. this could include new backgrounds as well as a visualizer in the album mosaic. i personally am looking forward to that visualizer, hopefully microsoft can bring something new to the table that we havent seen before.

he did give me his email adress (which i will not say) so if u want to suggest something straight to the top i will compile them and send him an email sometime next week.

not a lie, but if it was what would i gain? i was walking through the safeway and he tapped me on the shoulder because he saw my headphones. im just trying to help him do his job and make the zune client a little better at the same time.

Ummm...I really don't think it matters whether he's lying or not. Anyways, back to the topic:

I would like to see more background options and visualizations would certainly be welcomed. I did have an idea for the album art mosaic. I think it would be cool to be able to play an album or artist by clicking on the art.

That's my input. Keep us updated if you hear anything.

you should tell him about zuneboards.com in general. it's a pretty big think tank of pretty hardcore zune lovers, that have a lot of good ideas... and bad ideas too, but still

but it probably isn't well known among the majority of Microsoft programmers/employees/other zune related personnel.

It would be a nice idea to have a Microsoft employee actually be active on here.

Please ask him to fix the fact that it doesn't support plug-ins. Or to at least allow support for a last.fm plug-in. Please! Thanks.

if that's true, which i highly doubt, it'd be pretty nice.

hmm, well how about the ability to adjust the main menu font size, because the words are too damn big
2) eq for the new gen zunes and the software
3)ability to read text rss feeds, i.e. blogs, news, etc.
Those are the 3 things i want.
