Please sign this petition to release the Zune worldwide!

Hi Everyone,

I'm a huge fan of the Zune, and I come from Australia. Ever since I heard about the Zune being developed I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. Then when it was released I was a little sad that it was only released in Australia.... 2 years on and it's still not here. Late last year I decided to create a petition and post it on a few Zune websites to try and get support. So far it's reached around 750 signatures. Most of this was achieved at the end of last year, with 200 odd signatures this year. I suppose this is due to not advertising it more.

I have contacted Microsoft many times, and had the opportunity to write a personal letter to the person who apparently deals with the releasing of the products here in oz. He rejected the petition and letter.

So I haven't give up. I am from the Zune Scene forums but since it's not really active as much anymore I decided to join up here. Many would find it greatful if you could please spare a minute of your time to sign the petition. I know many say why bother because it doesn't do anything, but it's better than doing nothing. I can only hope that one day it will be released here. Hopefully soon.

Many people also tell me that I can easily buy one off ebay, sure that's fine for me but what about all those other people out in the world that want an alternative to the iPod but arent allowed to use ebay? Plus there's also issues like making a fake email address, and the warranty and such.

Anyway's, it would be great if this could be posted on the news, I saw the Zune being released in Canada news headline, so hopefully this comes just in time so that people may see it form the front page.

More power to ya, but I don't think ur gonna get far. Marketing globally would cost a large sum of money, and the fact is, most of Zune's fanbase is here in North America.

Thanks guys for the support. I heard everyone on here was nice (when I heard everyone from zunescene went to here because it's nicer?? :S)

Anyways, I know it may not make a difference, but at least they know that people do want it.

It might take alot of money, but hey this is MS we're talking about. They didn't do this with Windows, and they didn't do it with the Xbox.

BTW, what's with the new Zune Phone rumors.... something about a so called Zune Phone spotted on TV? I don't think it looks like it... I mean it could be anything?
