Well, i recently got a cell phone, and I've noticed that every time I get/send a text message, I hear a weird noise come from my speakers/earbuds. It sounds like "boop de-de boop de-de boop", before my phone even gets the text. Anyone else have this happen to them?
BTW my wireless setting is OFF on my zune Mortified ![]() |

Cell phones affect speakers. Whenever I have a cell phone next to computer speakers, I hear noise like you described a few seconds before the cell phone starts ringing. This is normal, and will not affect your Zune in any way.

It's ok not a problem but one funny thing about the wifi, when ever I go in to or out or even by a store that has those security things by the door it sets them off. even if I just walk by.

Wi-Fi can not set them off... You probably have a magnet somewhere on you that sets it off.

Only GSM phones will cause that weird sound to play through unshielded speakers (CDMA phones won't).
That's how those flashing cell phone charms and similar things work (to alert you to a ringing phone nearby).
